The Maronite League General Assembly held its annual meeting on December 13, 2009 in the presence of the League’s President Dr. Joseph Torbey, the Executive Council’s Members and a number of ministers and members of Parliament. Following the meeting, the League declared that it had deployed all efforts to achieve the Inter-Christian reconciliation. Although the reconciliation was not fully materialized, the League succeeded in creating a new momentum and in establishing the adequate climate to encourage all concerned parties to recognize the importance of inter-Christian reconciliation process.
